Applewood Environmental’s principal Environmental Scientist is Bethany Moffat.
She started the company in 2019 with the goal to provide clients with regulatory assistance that is tailored to their business.
Bethany has 15 years of experience in environmental science and management, including air permit compliance for manufacturing and electricity generation for both coal and natural gas sources. She also has experience with NEPA document preparation, industrial wastewater, stormwater, and hazardous waste.
Bethany specializes in air emissions calculation, tracking, permitting and reporting for Title V, PSD, Synthetic Minor and True Minor sources as well as greenhouse gas tracking, calculating, and reporting. Bethany has also calculated the greenhouse gas footprint for a large electricity generation and transmission company for several years.
Bethany earned both her Undergraduate Degree in Environmental Science and a Master of Applied Science Degree in Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Denver.
Bethany is currently on the Board of Directors and is acting Treasurer of the Rocky Mountain States Section of the Air and Waste Management Association.
Bethany regularly attends meetings regarding air quality regulatory development to stay up to date on new regulations or changes to current regulations.
Applewood Environmental is also a member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and is a certified Small Business Enterprise (SBE).
